Have not they observed what is before them and what is behind them of the sky and the Earth, if We intended We could cause the Earth to swallow them, or We cause to fall the fragments of the sky upon them; in it surely there is a sign to every servant who turns to Me.
‘Have not they observed what is before them and what is behind them of the sky and the Earth’ told in the verse means have noted they got any lesson from the punishment that came from the sky and the earth upon their ancestors. Today Fujjar who read these verses in the Arabic Quran are hurrying for worldly gain ignoring the Hereafter. They do not get any lessons from the punishment that affected their forefathers. As told in verse 8: 22 the worst creatures near Lord Allah are the deaf and dumb who do not utilize their intelligence. That means they neither hear Adhikr nor speak about It to others. Thus they are the worst creatures among thousand communities of the Lord’s creatures as explained in verse 6: 38. They are serving Satan as explained in verses 36: 59-62.
